MEET ANNIKA

Owner & Physical Therapist, DPT

A woman with red hair and fair skin smiling, wearing a navy blue T-shirt with a logo on the front, and a watch on her left wrist, standing against a white wall with a brick section and flowers in the background.

I’m Annika, founder of Evolve PT, physical therapist, and personal trainer. I believe deeply in your body’s ability to heal when it’s given the right support. My goal is to help you feel understood, empowered, and confident in your movement, never rushed or treated like a diagnosis.

Evolve was created as a space where we slow down, ask better questions, and look at the full picture. Your history, lifestyle, and goals all matter in the context of your body.

MY TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY

I treat the WHOLE person because healing is a multi-faceted process.

I value each person’s experience and want to hear their story.

I believe in a sustainable approach to health and fitness.

I strive to challenge the health beliefs that no longer serve you and work with you to exceed what you thought was possible.

I can’t wait to meet you and help you move forward.

Annika's Approach

Based in Manchester, NH and Boston, MA.

MY SERVICES

PHYSICAL THERAPY

Person using a massage gun on a patient's lower back in a therapy setting.

Personalized, one-on-one care focused on relieving pain, restoring mobility, and helping you move with confidence. Whether you’re recovering from injury or managing chronic pain, my approach is built around your goals.

Physical Therapy

SUSTAINABLE MOVEMENT

Three women in a fitness class on a wooden floor practicing yoga or stretching exercises, holding yellow balls, with one woman in a white hoodie and gray leggings, another in a black tank top and gray pants, and a third in a dark tank top and black pants.

Build strength, resilience, and long-term movement habits that last. I blend fitness, mobility, and injury prevention to help you stay active without burnout or setbacks.

Sustainable Movement + Fitness

VISCERAL MANIPULATION

A gentle, hands-on technique that improves mobility of internal tissues to reduce pain and restore balance throughout the body. Often helpful for low back pain, post-surgical recovery, and chronic tension.

Visceral Manipulation

RETURN TO RUNNING

A man running on a track field during foggy weather, wearing an orange tank top, black shorts, and running shoes, with trees and a building in the background.

A structured, progressive program designed to get you back to running safely and efficiently. I address strength, mechanics, and workload to reduce injury risk and build confidence.

LOW BACK PAIN

A healthcare professional preparing to give an injection to a woman lying on a bed or table.

Targeted treatment focused on identifying the root cause of back pain, not just the symptoms. I combine hands-on care, movement retraining, and neuroscience education to help you move pain-free again.

Low Back Pain

DRY NEEDLING

A chiropractor or physical therapist performs an adjustment or therapy on a woman lying face down on a massage table in a well-lit room with hardwood floors and large window. The therapist wears a black athletic top and purple gloves.

A precise technique used to relieve muscle tension, reduce pain, and improve mobility. Dry needling helps reset overactive muscles and supports faster recovery when paired with movement-based care.

… and much, much more.

FEELING STUCK IN YOUR BODY?

Have you tried multiple approaches but still don’t have clear answers?

Does your pain keep coming back, even when imaging says “nothing’s wrong”?

Do you feel like there’s more going on than just a diagnosis?

  • I work with people who have tried many approaches but still don’t have clear answers. Most want to understand what their body is doing rather than override it, and are committed to long-term health—not quick fixes.

I see clients from their 20s through their 80s, and my work is especially impactful for runners and athletes 40+, people caught in cycles of recurrent low back pain, and older adults who want to stay active, independent, and confident in daily life.

  • A significant part of my work focuses on low back pain—particularly when it keeps coming back despite treatment or imaging that doesn’t fully explain the symptoms.

Rather than focusing only on the spine or a diagnosis, I look at how the nervous system, protective patterns, visceral relationships, movement habits, and overall load tolerance may be contributing. This broader view helps uncover why pain persists and how to move forward with clarity and confidence.

  • Care is individualized and collaborative. We begin by calming and organizing the system, then gradually build capacity over time.

Depending on your needs, sessions may include hands-on manual therapy, functional dry needling, visceral manipulation, movement retraining, and progressive strength work. As both a physical therapist and certified personal trainer, I integrate rehabilitation and strength to support lasting change—not just temporary relief.
